BALLSTON SPA – Mary E. Lyman, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Saratoga Hospital after a short courageous battle with lung and brain cancer.
Born June 2, 1942 in Gansevoort, she was the daughter of the late Paul J. and Mary (Minnick) Niles.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husbands, Paul W. Palmer and Richard Lyman, and a sister in law, Dottie Culligan.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Beckwith and her husband, Chuck, Paula Larue and her husband, George, Mary Ann Fuller; sons, Paul Palmer, Jr., and his wife, Connie, Stanley Palmer and his wife, Ruth; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Carruth and her husband, Floyd; her brothers, Patrick Culligan and his wife, Margie, Theodore Culligan of Baltimore, MD; her special aunt, Gennie Minnick of Cohoes; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mary’s family would like to specially thank the staff of Saratoga Hospital for their care.
There will be no calling hours.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
