QUEENSBURY – David James LaPoint, 63, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at his home in Queensbury.
Born on August 15, 1960, in Glens Falls he was the son of Carol G (Garvin) LaPoint and the late Edward George LaPoint.
David attended South Glens Falls High School, and worked for the State of NY in Albany for over 20yrs.
David spent most of his life locally, except in his younger years he lived several years in Florida. He loved traveling, especially to Maine, Alaska and Key West, Florida. At family gatherings you could always count on him bringing his favorite, Key Lime Pie, and the famous (Red) Pimento Ring Salad.
David will be remembered for being “Just a Good Guy”.
He is survived by his mother Carol (Garvin) LaPoint, His Brothers, Edward K. LaPoint (who passed away shortly after Davids death), John LaPoint and wife Carol (Pechtel) LaPoint, nephew Logan LaPoint and wife Maddie and children Satine, Winston, London, and Fox, Sister-in-law Jan (Legault) LaPoint, niece Erin LaPoint and son William, nephew Sam LaPoint and wife Taylor, and son Lachlan. His Uncle Mike LaPoint and Aunt Eliza, His Aunt Charlotte LaPoint, and several beloved cousins.
We would like to thank Rose Parker for the endless care she gave David, the area’s Emergency Squad Services, along with the countless Doctors and Nurses in the Glens Falls, Albany area. His Bus Buddies and Co-workers that were such good friends to him.

Due to unforeseen family circumstances, we will not be having a public celebration of Davids life as was planned. It will be private and to the convenience of the family.
