GLENS FALLS – Robert J. Geroux, Sr., age 80, of Glens Falls, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016, at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born on August 23, 1936, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late George and Lillian (Bowman) Geroux.
Robert was a graduate of Glens Falls High School.
He was united in marriage to Janet Duell on November 30, 1957, in Glens Falls.
Robert had a 35 year long career as a union carpenter.
He was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church in Glens Falls.
Robert was a member of the Adirondack Travelers. He enjoyed camping and after retiring, he enjoyed traveling the country with his wife and wintering in Florida in his RV.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by two brothers, George Geroux, Jr., and Donald Geroux; and his step-father, Forrest Fisher.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Janet Geroux of Glens Falls; his two sons, Robert J. Geroux, Jr. and his wife, Angela of Glens Falls, and Greg M. Geroux and his wife, Melody of Milford, PA; his granddaughter, Alexandria Geroux and her fiancé, Benjamin Trager of Washington, DC; his siblings, Bruce Geroux, and his wife Sandy of Orlando, FL, Jane Buckley and her husband, Tim of El Cajon, CA, and Joan Lavigne of Queensbury; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

All services will be private at the convenience of the family. A burial will be at a later date at Glens Falls Cemetery.
