HUDSON FALLS – Frances Scicchitano,82, formerly of Coleman Ave, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the Fort Hudson Health Care Facility.
Born January 19, 1932 in Clifton Park, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Maria (Divina) Giada.
On May 12, 1951, she married Louis Scicchitano, Jr., at the Church of the Madonna Della Libera in West New York, NJ.
Frances was the owner and operator of the Textile Outlet on Main St., Hudson Falls. She closed the store in 1997. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/ St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls. Frances was the best mom in the world. Mr. and Mrs. Scicchitano loved Hudson Falls and invested their time and talents into the village.
Besides her parents, Frances was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her four children, Christina Putnam and her husband, Ron of Hudson Falls, Francis Scciccitano and his wife, Zvia of Kansas, Louis Sccichitano III and his wife, Marian of Missouri, Theresa Sitterly and her husband, Donald of Hudson Falls; seven grandchildren, Maria, Lisa, Dean, Rachel, Gabriella and Eric and Danielle; her great grandchildren, Christopher, Louis, Frances and Zoe; her brother, Ronald Giada of Hudson Falls, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
The Funeral Mass will be conducted Thursday, 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.
The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Edward.
