HARTFORD – Eileen (VanDoran) Courville, 69, of Camp A Way, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 25, 2017.
Born on May 21, 1947 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late James and Jane (Berrigan) VanDoran.
Eileen attended Hudson Falls High School and worked at several jobs throughout her life, retiring from Covidien in Argyle.
In 1990, Eileen was united in marriage to Mark Courville in Hudson Falls.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls. Eileen loved reading fiction novels, planting flowers, gardening, playing cards, and her morning Yahtzee games over a cup of coffee. She enjoyed barbeques and camping with her family. Most of all, Eileen loved the fresh air and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her brother, James VanDoran.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Courville of Hartford; her three children, Anthony McIntosh and his life partner, Annie Phillips of Hudson Falls, Andrew McIntosh of Glens Falls, and Todd McIntosh and his wife, Mary of Hampstead, N.C.; her five grandchildren, Ashley Smith and her husband, Leeland, Angela McIntosh, Toni McIntosh, Zachary McIntosh and Hailey McIntosh; three great-grandchildren, Jaylin Santana, Kamrin McIntosh, and Kaiden Collins; her sister, Pat Burch and her husband, Ron of Queensbury; her two brothers, John VanDoran and his wife, Chris of Pulaski, TN, and Philip VanDoran of Glens Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. at 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Sunday, following calling hours at the funeral home with the Reverend Thomas Babiuch, officiating.
Rite of Committal will take place in the spring at Union Cemetery in Fort Edward.
