HUDSON FALLS – Shirley Lemery Denno, 80, of Moss Street Square, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and caregivers, on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at her home.
Born on May 29, 1935, in Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Imogene (Kingsley) LaPoint.
Shirley attended Hudson Falls High School and was employed at Pizza Hut in Hudson Falls.
Shirley spent her life taking care of her children and her companion Tom Stark. For 40 years, she also helped with WWAARC and helped start the bowling program for them.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, George LaPoint and her sisters, Virginia Leone and Jean Bullock.
She is survived by her children, Steven Lemery of Granville and Lorrie Lemery of Glens Falls; her sister, Joyce Mylotte of Rennselear; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Shirley is also survived by two step-daughters, Ellen Twiss and her companion, William Hunt of Queensbury, Betsy Redington of Warrensburg and Tom Stark, Jr. of Glens Falls,
Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment, in Union Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
