QUEENSBURY—Elizabeth “Betty” Vera Bardin, 88, of Queensbury, passed away on March 30, 2019.
Born on July 9, 1930, in Plattsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Percival and Anna Denton.
On June 28, 1947, she married Erwin Bardin, Jr. at St. Mary’s Church in Fort Edward and was predeceased by him after 62 years of marriage.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her infant sons, Gary Joseph Bardin, and Arthur Warren Bardin; her brother, Percy Denton, Jr.; her sister, Gloria Denton Jenkins; her grandson, Jeffrey Bardin; and her grandson-in-law, J. Todd Lyon.
Survivors include her four children, Craig (Debra) Bardin, Julie (Robert) Crocker, John Bardin and Richard (Sharon) Bardin; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandson; her sisters, Patricia Denton, Winifred Been, and Christina Sweet; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition, she is also survived by her friends and caregivers at the Glens Falls Center, who became a second family to her; as well as Denise Crete and Cindy Bardin.
Betty loved spending time with family and hosting family gatherings. She always made sure to save room for dessert.
At Betty’s request, there will be no services.
Inurnment will take place at the convenience of the family at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
Memorial donations may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
