HUDSON FALLS – Joseph E. Bannon, 59, of Hudson Falls, went into the arms of the Lord, Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born November 5, 1956 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Samuel E. and Jeannette P. (King) Bannon.
Joseph attended Queensbury High School and then attended seminary in Maine. He later became an ordained minister.
He was very active in the Voices of the Heart. He also donated a lot of his time with the local area charities.
Joseph’s passion was fish aquariums. He also loved cats and religion. Joseph was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church. He enjoyed family functions, he was a great uncle, and looked forward to his shopping days spent with family.
Besides his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his sister, Pamela Bannon.
Survivors include his siblings, Leslie Bannon of Plattsburg, Thomas Bannon and his fiancé, Martha Madden of Queensbury, Fredrick Bannon of Queensbury, Cynthia Bannon-Davis of Glens Falls, Debra Bannon-King and her husband, Frederick of Hudson Falls and Edward Bannon and his wife, Carolyn of South Glens Falls; his sister in law, Bonnie Plude of Hudson Falls; his nieces, Angela Mead and her husband, Matthew of South Glens Falls, Ashley Rivers, Rebecca Madden, Rosabell Hemenegildo, as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Wednesday, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, following the calling hour, at the funeral home, with the Reverend Paul Mead, officiating.
Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in South Glens Falls in the spring.
