HUDSON FALLS – With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the passing of Steve Gray, a loving father, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He passed early Wednesday September 20, 2023, at his home after a brief yet brave fight with cancer.
Born December 11, 1959, Steve was adopted by the late Betty (Grier) Coleman and Robert Gray of Stillwater.
He was a Job Corps graduate where he discovered his fondness of facility maintenance and custodial work. Mr. Gray spent years behind the scenes cleaning and later in life became a driver for a MediCab Company. He was extremely passionate about tie dye, music, skulls, and sarcasm. He enjoyed taking naps with his best buddy Bear, making people laugh, horror movies, concerts, playing pool on his laptop, long drives, and a good game of Crazy Eights.
He was the partner in crime to Denise Dashnaw, father of Lynn Jeremiah of Las Vegas NV, Nicole Gray of Hudson Falls and Cassandra Poolet of Glens Falls and the proud grandfather to Natalee, Thomas, and Albert.
Steve is predeceased by his sisters Wendy Mulrain and Sharon Miller as well as his niece, Amy Farahat.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday October 29, 2023, from 2pm to 6pm at the Sandy Hills Arts Center located at 214 Main Street Hudson Falls, NY 12839.
In honor of Steve’s colorful life, we ask you to join us in wearing tie-dyes and jeans, as he’d have it no other way.
Thoughtful contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, located at 260 Osborne Road Loudonville, NY 12211.
Cass thank you for the info I will c u there
I will see you’d there and thank you
When God call those we love so much to come and take his hand, We must not feel that it is wrong for them to leave this land.
For they have lived a rich full life and answered destiny,
They brought nothing to this world but have left a golden memory.
Remember when the world began, God promised us His home,
And now they have gone to be with Him they will not be alone.
For God is King and makes the rules in which we abide,
So have no fear when your time comes, you’ll be there by their side.
Steve we miss you!
