HUDSON FALLS – Robert R. Baker, Sr., 60, of Hudson Falls, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, August 28, 2023, with his wife by his side.
Born December 10, 1962, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Joyce (Gregory) Hammond and the late Robert H. Baker.
Robert attended Whitehall Central School and Hudson Falls High School, eventually obtaining his GED. He proudly served in the United States Army.
On October 25, 1991, he married the love of his life, Gina O’Connell in Corinth.
Robert was employed at Northern Distribution for several years as a warehouse and truck driver. He was also employed by Capri Village in Bolton Landing for many years, as maintenance.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout the Adirondacks. Years ago, Robert could often be found spending time with his friends at the garage. For the last few years, Robert was most comfortable and content at home spending quality time with his loving wife.
Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his baby brother, Kevin and his sisters, Melissa, and Jaime.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Gina Baker of Hudson Falls; his children, Casey Baker Owens and her husband, Jeff of IN, and Robert Baker, Jr. of Glens Falls; his stepchildren, Donnie Moulton and Jill Moulton, both of Lake Luzerne; his grandchildren, Jasmine, Jeffery and Trevor; his sister, Jennifer McIntosh; his special aunt, Carol; and many friends and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 -7 PM, on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the American Legion Post #574, 72 Pearl St., in Hudson Falls.
