FORT EDWARD – Robert “Bob” Guilder, Jr., 61, of Fort Edward, died peacefully, at his home, after a short battle with cancer, with his family and friends by his side on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.
Born on July 17, 1954, in Corinth, he was the son of the late Robert Guilder, Sr. and the late Pauline Greenier.
Bobby attended Argyle Central School. He worked many different trades in the area throughout his life and was known for his skills.
Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR racing, especially #3 Dale Earnhardt, Jr., he also enjoyed many other forms of auto racing. He loved woodworking, fixing cars and working his hands. Bobby had many practical life skills that helped him along in life.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Edna McWhorter and Elaine Parent.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Monroe and her husband, Kelvin of Chestertown; his three grandchildren, Dylan Monroe, Gabby Monroe and Izzy Monroe; his sister, Paula Edwards and her husband, Jessie of Hudson Falls; his friend who was like a brother, Charles Scally, Jr. and his significant other, Jane Lewis of Hudson Falls; his close friends, Nancy Knickerbocker, Jackie Monroe, Sonya Devino and her fiancé, Jess Cook and their two daughters, Delbert Mundell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many more close friends to numerous to mention.
Friends may call from 11 to 1 p.m. on Monday, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
