CAMBRIDGE – Robert (Bob) F. Hazelton, Jr., 66, of Cambridge Woods Lane in Cambridge, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012, at the Center for Rehab in Hoosick Falls, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born on November 16, 1946, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Robert and Myrtle 9Eastman) Hazelton.
Robert was an avid LA Lakers and New York Yankees fan. He also loved to watch football on Sundays with his family. Robert enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, fishing, hanging out with his brother Eric and taking road trips. He liked to listen to music and would often ‘boogaloo’ to his favorite tunes. Robert enjoyed shooting hoops to pass the time with friends and family. He was a humorous man, with an infectious laughter and smile. He was a one of a kind, caring person with a big heart who touched the lives of so many.
Survivors include, a son Michael Robert; his brothers and sisters, Bill Hazelton and long time companion PJ of Glens Falls, Thomas Hazelton and his wife, Gail of Georgia, Terry Libby and his wife, Judy of Chelsea, Vermont, John Hazelton and his wife, Carol of CT and Richard Hazelton and his wife, Sherry of Florida, Carol Waite of Glens Falls, Brian Hazelton of Westbury, Michelle Lake of Hudson Falls, Eric Roewer and his wife, Marian of Cambridge and Donald Winslow and wife Amber of Queensbury; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted, 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
There will be a Pot Luck remembrance in memory of Bob at his brother’s home in Cambridge at 1p.m.
