HUDSON FALLS – Patricia “Pat” Jones , 79, previously of Hudson Falls, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Albany Medical Center with her loving daughter, Darlene by her side.
Born on December 26, 1937, in Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Ducharme and Thelma Palmer. Pat was raised by her mother and grandparents, Clifford and Agnes Palmer.
Pat spent most of her childhood in the Wells, Vt and Granville areas and is where she eventually met the love of her life George “Red” Jones. They married on May 12, 1957 in Granville and later moved to Preston St. in Hudson Falls, where they spent many happy years raising their three daughters. They eventually moved to the West Pawlet area after building their dream home log cabin spending only a few short years there before returning to the Kingsbury area. After 32 blessed years of marriage, Red passed away suddenly on November 3, 1989.
Pat worked for many years at C.R. Bard in Queensbury where she made many lifelong friends.
After retiring she eventually moved to Florida where she spent several years enjoying the warm, sunny days with her beloved sister, Sandy and brother-in-law, Dodge. She made many new and lasting friendships while in Florida before returning home to be closer to her daughter, family and friends.
Pat enjoyed dancing, swimming, reading, shopping, going with her brother in-law for their weekly outings for breakfast and Friday night pizza, traveling with her close friend, Sandy for car rides and stopping for an occasional fish fry, playing cards with her friend, Jan and always looked forward to her weekly hair appointment with her longtime friend, Charro. Pat was a fun loving, feisty and easy to be around mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be sadly missed by all she has touched.
In addition to her grandparents, parents and husband, Pat was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Nettleton.
Survivors include, her daughters, Debra (Joe) Chapman, Donna (Cliff) Edgerly and Darlene (Ray) Fischer; her grandchildren, Justin, Jennifer and Stan, Jared and his wife Marissa, Derek and Samantha; 2 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Barry Nettleton, Cheryl Dilley, Sandra Watkins, and Gail Plude; brother in-law Dodge Watkins; sister in-law Lynn Nettleton; uncle Milford Palmer; several nieces, nephews and cousins; her very close friends Sandy Butler, Jan Ladeau and Charro Viger and her beloved grand-dog, Harlee.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 A.M. on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc,. 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
A burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Oh sweet Mrs. Jones where do I begin. You were like my second mom growing up, I loved you dearly. I sit back and remember all the great times I shared with you, Red and Darlene…(the car races, eating Chinese food for the first time at Youngs, ect..)it always brings a smile to my face. Your sweet little laugh always cracked me up. You were always sweet and encouraging in every way. You will be deeply missed. I love you. Love, Kerry
