Milford “Mickey” Genier

Genier Glasses Genier BabyQUEENSBURY – Milford “Mickey” Genier, 81, of Woodland Path, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, on Sunday, December 21, 2014.

Born on April 18, 1933 in Weatherbee, he was the son of the late Louis and Margaret (Harrington) Genier.

On February 7, 1969, he married Cheryl Vaughn in Queensbury.  They were married for 46 wonderful years.

Mickey worked for Finch Prynn for over 25 years.  He enjoyed playing online poker and spending time with his family.  Mickey was a family man; a wonderful husband, great father, grandfather and on November 26, he became a great grandfather.

Besides his parents, Mickey was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife, Cheryl Genier of Queensbury; his five children, Mickey Genier and his wife, Sherry of Fort Edward, Tony Genier of Queensbury, Ray Genier and his wife, Tricia of Queensbury, Joe Genier of Queensbury and April Genier also of Queensbury; his 11  grandchildren, Brian, Brittany, Cheryl, Tony, Nathan, Raymond, Amber, Dakota, Damien, Matt and Sean; his great grandson, Luka; his sister, Norma Saunders of Argyle; his brother, Ronald Genier and his wife, Judy of South Glens Falls; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.At Mickey’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
