WHITEHALL – Michael “Mike” Anthony Rose, 61, formerly of Whitehall, passed away at Sweet Brook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Williamstown, MA on October 22nd 2017, after a battle with metastatic cancer.
Mike was born on Aug. 3, 1956 to the late Milo and Mary Rose in Glens Falls.
He attended Glens Falls High School, before enlisting in the US Army.
Mike had various jobs. He spent 16 years as a CNA and also was able to travel across the country as staff for Ringling Bros. Circus.
Mike loved to go fishing with his brothers. He also was a big fan of WWE Wrestling. While at Sweet Brook Rehab Center, Mike was thrilled to have met his favorite world champion wrestler, Bob Backlund.
Mike’s pride and joy were his two children, Nathan and Sarah.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Flores) and Milo Rose, his brothers, Milo Jr., Sylvester “Joe” Rose, Robert Rose, and his sister, Mary Kingsbury.
Survivors include his son, Nathan (Jessica) Rose of Cavendish, VT; his daughter, Sarah (Brad Lance) Rose of Wheat Ridge, CO; his brothers, Henery (Pamela) Rose of Queensbury and Harold “John” Rose of Whitehall; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 8 to 10 AM at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc, 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Graveside Services with full military honors will be conducted at 11 AM at Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery in Stillwater.
The family wishes to thank Sweet Brook Rehabilitation Center and Berkshire Hospice for the love and care given to Mike during his illness.
