HUDSON FALLS – Mary Theresa Vandenburgh Campney, 69, of Hudson Falls, joined her husband in Heaven on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
Born January 24, 1945, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Beecher and Madeline (Stark) Vandenburgh.
Mary married George Campney, who passed away April 13, 2005.
She worked as a housekeeper for the Flacke family in Lake George.
Mary loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved playing cards and having a few cocktails with her neighbor, Robin. She liked the races at Saratoga with Denise and Fran. She loved her cats, Buttercup and Gizmo, and her dog, Babe.
Survivors include her children, Theresa Huntington and her husband, Wesley of Whitehall, Denise Rodriguez and her husband, Fransico of South Hadley, Massachusetts, Beecher Campney and his friend, Moses of Albany; her grandchildren, Andrea and her two sons, Izaek and Thaddeus of Whitehall, Matthew and his wife, Whitney, and their son Tate of South Glens Falls, Amanda of Massachusetts, Fransico Sr. of Massachusetts; her brother William “Bill” Vandenburgh of Glens Falls; her close friend, who was like a sister to her, Bessy and her husband, Ray Morse; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street , Hudson Falls.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, following calling hours, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls with Rev. Joseph Manerowski, pastor officiating.
The Rite of Committal will be private.
