Mark A. Tardiff, Sr.

GLENS FALLS – Mark A. Tardiff, Sr., 51 of Glens Falls, passed away unexpectedly resulting from an unforeseen illness on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born September 13, 1972, in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Donald J. and Cheryl D. (Hastings) Tardiff.

Mark grew up in Lake Luzerne and attended Hadley-Luzerne Central School District. He worked in construction for many years with V&H Construction, Inc., in Fort Edward. Mark also worked at various restaurants throughout Warren and Washington Counties as a line cook. He recently worked at Mikado on Glen Street in Glens Falls.

In his younger days, while his children were growing up, Mark enjoyed taking them fishing.

Mark is predeceased by his parents Donald J. and Cheryl D. (Hastings) Tardiff.

Survivors include his six children, Andrew, Samantha Palazzo, Sarah Tardiff, Mark Tardiff, Jr. of South Glens Falls, William Tardiff of South Glens Falls, and Caleb Tardiff of Plattsburgh. Mark is also survived by his brother, Bill Tardiff and his wife, Tracey of South Glens Falls, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the funeral home.

The burial will take place at the Warrensburg Cemetery, 110 Hudson Street (County Route 9) in Warrensburg on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mark’s name to the local American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Drive #100, Albany, NY 12205.

    My condolences to Marcus’s family. I really wish he would have kept in better touch with you all. Family is a precious thing. I also wish he could have taken better of himself so he could see you all again. 6 children are all a blessing and he’s lucky to have had you. I am sorry for your loss his roommate . Becky
