KINGSBURY – Marjorie E. (Plumadore) Mumblo, age 88, passed away at 5:43pm on December 25, 2018 in her home, with her loving daughter, by her side.
Born on July 25, 1930 in Plattsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Rose and Louis Plumadore. Besides her parents, Marjorie was pre-deceased by all her siblings.
On August 19, 1951, Marjorie joined Archie L. Mumblo in marriage. The two spent their lives in Hudson Falls raising their family. Marjorie and Archie were well known for their Post-Star paper route, having delivered for over 30 years. In December of 2001, Archie, the love of her life passed away. Marjorie’s family is at peace knowing they have been reunited.
During her earlier years, Marjorie enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, bird-watching and gardening. She also found joy in completing jigsaw puzzles with her beloved grand & great-grandchildren. She was an avid Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan and loved listening to Alan Jackson. In her later years,
Marjorie loved nothing more than caring for her cats.
She leaves behind her dear son, Louis Mumblo II and his wife, Helen, her
beloved daughter, Pauline and her companion, Shawn; her six grandchildren, Matt
Mumblo, John Mumblo and his wife, Pam, Rosanna Mumblo and her companion, Mike,
Louis Mumblo III and his partner, Jamie, Alethea Cornell and Tyler Cornell; and
her 11 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Dakota, Josiah, Katherine “Kat”, Jacob,
Brady, Kaylee, Mackenzie, Preston, Riley, and Adam. Marjorie is also survived by her cats, Spice
& the gang.
At Marjorie’s request, no calling hours are scheduled.
A Christian Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church, on the park in Hudson Falls on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11:00am.
The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.
