HUDSON FALLS – Margaret N. (Gonyea) Craig, 88, of the Earl Towers, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on September 3, 1927, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Louise (Mingo) Gonyea.
Her husband, James L. Craig, passed away before her.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls and devoted her life to raising her children,
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a son, Terry Craig, and her brothers and sisters, Leo Gonyea, Cleo Beck, Blanche Ceasar, Gerald Gonyea, Joyce Quinn, Lorraine Smith, Louis Gonyea, Leona McNally, Judy Wieboldtand Eleonore Hozley.
She is survived by her children, James Craig and his wife Penny of Fulton, Peg Stanbridge and her husband, mike of Charlotte, NC, Brenda Fosco and her husband, Carl of Hudson Falls, Rick Craig and his wife Lynette of Florida, Jane Jansen and her husband Theo of Charlotte, NC, Janine Powel and her husband, Ronald of Fort Collins, Colorado, William Craig and his wife Gina of South Carolina; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins,; and her special friend, Vern Greene of Hudson Falls.
A graveside service will take place at a later date at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Veteran’s Cemetery in the town of Stillwater.
Margaret’s family suggests that memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 959 U.S. 9, Queensbury, New York 12804 or the American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Dr. #100, Albany, NY 12205.

Well Brenda you know how we feel. Although for the rest of your siblings may not your mother was like another mother to us both so we were both devastated by her passing. We shared many happy times with her an Vern an Brenda An Carl but for the brighter picture her knees are not hurting anymore so fly high Granny like that ANGEL you truly are now. Didn’t”t get to see aunt Marg a lot, untill Jan opened Lil’Nony”s, then got the pleasure of seeing her again, she reminded me so much of mom. She is with the rest of her family now God rest her soul, love you Auntie .
