LAKE GEORGE – Katherine “Kay” (Corsall) Clear, 85, formerly of Hudson Falls and more recently of Lake George, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at her home on Saturday, December 20, 2014.
Born on July 7, 1929, in Fort Edward, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Massaro) Corsall.
Kay grew up in Fort Edward and received her high school diploma from Fort Edward Union Free High School.
On August 19, 1951, she married James B. Clear at St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward. After 34 wonderful years of marriage, he passed away on April 17, 1985.
Kay’s Italian heritage and her faith were very important to her. She was a wonderful Italian cook and loved to solve puzzles and word searches. Kay also enjoyed watching old movies and listening to the Three Tenors. She loved living at the Village, where she attended many social gatherings. Kay cherished the wonderful memories that were made with her friends. She was fortunate to be able to stay at home to raise her six children. She was a loving mom, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Carmel Parisi.
Kay is survived by her six children, Vivian LaRose and her husband, Larry, Sr. of Fort Edward, Paulette Pelkey and her husband Henry of South Glens Falls, Marianne Rourke of Clark Summit, PA, Jim Clear and his wife, Jill of Queensbury, Patrick Clear and his significant other, Rose Brancati of Lake Luzerne and Joseph Clear of Fort Edward; six grandchildren, Dan Rourke and his wife, Katie, Larry LaRose, Jr. and his wife, Liz, Heather Kuehl and her husband, Brian, Katy Clear and her fiancé, Tom, Todd Clear and Austin Clear; four great grandchildren, Kaelyn Rourke, Kendall Rourke, Jackson LaRose and Riley Kuehl; one sister, Connie Barber and her husband, Ray of Lake George; her brother Joseph Corsall and his wife, Elaine of Fort Edward; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Funeral services will follow on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Reverend Thomas Babiuch, officiating.
Rite of Committal will be in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the Town of Fort Edward.
Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

I was a Monday meals on wheels delivery person for Kay for the past year and a half. I just read the Post Star Obit today. She was always a pleasant voice to me regardless of what was going on with her or with the weather. I’ll miss my stops and my brief visits with her! Godspeed Kay.
