HUDSON FALLS – John C. Dever, 74, of Earl Towers, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2015, at home.
Born February 17, 1941, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late William and Kathleen (McIntyre) Dever.
On July 9, 2011 John married Nina Joiner at the Zion Episcopal Church in Hudson Falls.
John was employed for many years at the Fort William Henry in Lake George. He loved country music, trucks and was a fan of the NFL team, the New York Giants.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his son, Billy Dever, and three siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 4 years, Nina Dever of Hudson Falls; his children, Walter Dever and his wife, Amy, Philip Dever, Mike Dever, Kathy Provoncha and her husband, Tony and Peggy Anson and her husband, Bruce; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Mary Swinton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
The funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., following the calling hours, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow services, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
Memorial donations in memory of John may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Your dad’s mother Kathleen and my husband’s grandmother Hazel Wilcox were sisters. John and my husband’s mother were first cousins. she was Margaret Kathleen Bishop.
