I just found out greg passed on. He was the greatest mentor I’ve ever met. He changed my life and my family’s lives giving us an education beyond the earthly plane. Now he watches over all of us. I loved His sense of humor , his laughter and the powerful, kind man he was. I’m very sorry for hear your loss. I’m sure you miss him dearly. I’ve met you Sue a few times at your islip home. I send you love and light! Sincerely Lin. He helped me a lot to create a better life in every way! 🙏❤️
I am deeply saddened to hear of my friend and bandmates passing. I feel terribly that I did not know sooner. I last saw Greg two years ago at a band reunion and I later text him to see if he made it home safe and sound. He wrote “It was like we never skipped a beat,” I replied (and I wish I could say it in person right now) “Thank you for your generosity today. and your great spirit and love of life, and most of all………… the giggles!”
I played bass guitar in band with Greg in high school and he was incredible at singing songs by Joe Cocker and Leon Russell He was a great friend and musical influence in my life He is sorely missed
Greg Benza – I remember that band – good memories. Hope life has treated you well. I’m so sad to hear Kunaz is no longer with us.

I had the good fortune to play drums with Greg in high school bands and later in “Kunaz and The Wild Stompers” in 1972. He was one of a kind! Great musician, interactive, creative… his energy would light up the entire club. His rendition of Joe Cocker’s The Letter is still my favorite. I haven’t seen him in years, but thought of the “wild times” often. I am sad he is no longer in our world..
My sincere condolences to his family and friends on your loss.
