John and Linda, I send my condolences. It makes me smile to know she lived to 96! I remember your Mom and Dad well, as they were good friends of my parents, Bob and Lillian Dewart. Golf was the game. Good times. Your folks were the greatest! Blessings to you.
Connie Dewart
Connie,
Thank you for bringing a smile to my face today. I remember all three of you!
I’ll share a T-Bird story. When my mother was about 80, she called my office mid-afternoon. She NEVER did that. My asst, clearly worried, came to the office door and interrupted my meeting. Exact quote, “I’ve played golf for 40 yrs, and today I broke 90. Your father is rolling in his grave! I just had to tell you!” They all loved their golf.
It is with sadness that I heard that Aunt Gert has passed away, but no doubt she us enjoying the blessed peace of heaven. Ironically, I was just a few days ago sharing that I had only one Aunt still living. Aunt Gert was a great lady, and I regret not knowing her more personally. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
I was so sorry to see of Aunt Gert’s passing! I was always so fond of her!! Please know we are all thinking of her and you all at this time. And we hope you are all well!!
