Gail S. Tarn

HUDSON FALLS – Gail S. Tarn, 73, passed away surrounded by her loved ones at her daughter’s home on Saturday, July 8, 2023, after battling lung cancer.

Born on March 26, 1950, in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Ken and Jean (Deuchler) Tarn.

Gail enjoyed the time she spent with her family at family gatherings, cookouts, and shopping. Some of her favorite times were the weekly visits to see her brother Glenn and friends as they enjoyed their pizza parties. Gail loved her daily, four times a day, scratch off lottery ticket therapy. One of her favorite past time memories was when she would gather for the holiday season with her Aunt Joyce.

She was married to the late Michael Cicolella for 25 years. 

Gail’s children were everything to her.

Besides her parents, Gail was predeceased by her brother, Scott Tarn; her grandmother who she cared for until her passing, Evelyn Deuchler; her grandson, Dominic Smith; and her very special aunt, Joyce Muller.

Gail leaves behind her daughters, Anne Marie Smith and her former spouse, Jason of Hudson Falls, and Rosemary Diaz and her husband, Fausto Diaz of Forked River, NJ; her son, Kenneth Cicolella of Texas and his former spouse, Tina Pavlik Marottoli; her grandchildren, Marissa Johnson, Morgan Cicolella, Elijah Cicolella, Michelle Barber, Jason (Barber) Hart, Carmelo Diaz, and Chloe Diaz; her two great grandchildren, Stella Johnson and Nathan Barber; her brother, Glenn Tarn; Gail’s closest and dearest high school friend, who kept in contact with her all these years later and spoke to one another on the phone, Jackie Klug of Florida; and her close cousin, Shirley of Florida. Gail is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Especially her favorite nephew, JoJo.

Burial will be on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Somerset Memorial Cemetery Park, 95 Mount Airy Rd. in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
