GLENS FALLS – Diane (Shea) Dubay, 90, of Glens Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Elderwood in North Creek.
Born on April 26, 1933, in West Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Louise (Barber) Shea.
Diane was a 1951 graduate of Glens Falls High School.
On September 11, 1954, she married Duane “Tony” Dubay at St. Alphonsus Church in Glens Falls. He passed away on November 17, 2012.
In her younger years, she worked for the National Biscuit Company and Clarks Department Store office manager. Later in life she devoted her time helping to take care of children.
She was a former communicant of St. Alphonsus Church in Glens Falls. All her life she was an avid reader, who enjoyed historical fiction books, especially about the civil war and Amish books. Diane also she enjoyed traveling and cross country skiing.
In addition to her husband, Tony, she was predeceased by her son, Kevin Dubay and two brothers, Peter and Thomas Shea.
She is survived by her three daughters, Karen Dubay of PA, Suzanne (Rodney) Beddia of PA and Marianne (Tracey) Baker of Florida; 11 grandchildren, Michael Dubay, Ronald Krodel, Heather McEwen, Joshua Dubay, Adam Beddia, Nicole Fornadel, Gina Primeau, Christina Primeau, Sierra Primeau, Trey Baker and Stacey Baker; several great grandchildren; her four brothers, Michael Shea, Tim Shea, Don Shea and Greg Shea; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be in the spring at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
Memorial donations in her memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
