GLENS FALLS – Constance M. Gleason, 59, a native of Glens Falls, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016, at her home.
Born September 10, 1956, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Gleason and Anne Elizabeth (Massita ) Gleason.
Constance enjoyed working for the State of New Hampshire as a Vocation Rehabilitation Secretary. This position allowed her to meet many politicians, including President George H.W. Bush, Sr.
She owned and operated Ideal Market in Concord, NH for several years, until her illness forced her to close. Constance fought Dystonia for many years until she lost her battle on Monday. She loved spending time with family and grandchildren. Constance also enjoyed, playing bingo, garage saleing, crocheting and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed loving on her dog, Milo and her cat, Whiskers. The most important thing that anyone would want you to know about her, is that she was an amazing mother and sister.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Julie Wood, her son Walter Potter and nephew Danny DeSantis
She is survived by her three children, Tammie Gill and her significant other, Arthur Almy of Hadley, Vincent Potter and his wife, Andrea of Hudson Falls and Vernon Potter and his wife, Jessica of Lake Bomoseen, VT; her eight grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her brothers, Raymond Gleason and his significant other, Linda Bryant of Glens Falls and Ralph Gleason of Glens Falls; her sisters, Linda DeSantis and Doug Wood of Lake Luzerne, Laurie Roccasecca and her significant other, Doug Davis of Fort Edward and Patricia Hermance and her husband, Mike; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many others who loved her; and Victor Z. Potter, whom she was able to reconcile with after 30 years; and her step-son, Victor Z. Potter, Jr. of Glens Falls.
Memorial services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Saturday, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
