Cody Ryan MacDuff

MacDuff, CodyHUDSON FALLS – Cody Ryan MacDuff, 24, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 16, 1994 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Brigitte (Bourdeau) MacDuff and Wayne I MacDuff, Jr, of Hudson Falls.

Cody graduated from Prospect School in 2015 and currently attended Saratoga Bridges for day hab.

Cody had the ability to speak to your heart, even though he never spoke a word.   He could light up a room with his smile, which could always turn anyone’s bad day around.  He was pure love and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.   Cody came into this world a fighter and left the same way.   He was simply amazing.

Cody had two special caregivers for the last couple of years, named, Denise Baldwin and Jessica Fuller.   They loved and cared for him as if he was their own and Cody loved them just as much. Your love and kindness knows no bounds.  We would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Glens Falls Hospital, Tower 5, for all their caring support.  We also would love to thank Dr. Joel Solomon, who was Cody’s doctor his whole life, Dr. Allan Carl of Neurosurgery and his assistant, Shawntee, Dr. Matthew Farina and Dr. Robin Doyle, his cardiologist.  Also, Thank you to the wonderful staff at Prospect School for all their loving guidance throughout Cody’s school years and Saratoga Bridges. Dawn Marie, you are simply amazing.  We love you and all Cody’s loving aides in his room.   Cody has had two very special service coordinators, Celeste Davidson and Christine Morrisey, that we would love to thank for making his quality of life the best it could be by putting the services he needed in our hands.  Cody’s family would like to thank the administration and staff at the Glens Falls City School for their care and support over the last 17 years.

Cody was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Randell L. Davis, Sr. and his paternal grandfather, Wayne MacDuff, Sr.

Survivors besides his parents include his brothers, Wayne I MacDuff III and Brianna and Justin Cory MacDuff and Cortney McArdell; his nieces, Paityn Darlene MacDuff and Brynlee Sue MacDuff; his nephew, Wayne I MacDuff IV; his maternal grandmother, Darlene L Davis; his paternal grandmother, Margaret MacDuff; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

The family suggests that memorial donations in Cody’s name, to be made to Prospect Child and Family Center, 133 Aviation Road, Queensbury,  NY  12804.

    My heart is broken for you all. Cody was so sweet and full of joy to all around him. He brightened my day when ever I was there. He was blessed with beautiful parents and they were so blessed to have him.
