GLENS FALLS – Christopher Michael Hanna, 29 of Glens Falls passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 16, 2017.
Born on May 31, 1988 in Glens Falls NY, he was the son of Stephanie Hanna and Donald “DJ” McKittrick Jr. Chris graduated from Glens Falls High School and attended and studied at Hudson Valley Community College. He was employed at the medical manufacturing company Bard in Glens Falls; where he was thought of as a “great guy.”
Chris had many family and friends who also considered him to be a great guy and friend who was genuine, caring, very funny, fun loving, smart, sweet, amazing person that was just great to be around. And no one will ever forget his incredible smile and great laugh. He only had two short years with his girlfriend, Renee who told stories about how he was a hopeless romantic. They would always get each other gifts for every holiday and occasion. She and him made many great memories together. One of the best was their trip to Buffalo for a Bills game in September and had the chance to go see Niagara Falls.
Chris loved music. Especially listening to and seeing his favorite band of all time, Pearl Jam. He had all their albums. He attended many of their concerts, he even went to see a cover band of them just recently. He was also a huge Buffalo Bills fan and attended many games with his mom, dad, girlfriend and other friends. Chris’s other favorite sports teams were the Buffalo Sabre’s, the NY Knicks, the NY Yankee’s and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He also had the talent of playing the spoons when hanging out with family and listening to music. He liked to watch Game of Thrones, UFC, football and his beloved Buffalo Bills play on TV. He also loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his girlfriend. Chris also enjoyed doing things like ice skating, swimming in various spots, and showing her around his hometown of Glens Falls. Chris had a lot of GF pride! He recently was starting to enjoy fishing as well. He will be missed greatly by everyone that has ever interacted with him. Especially his family and friends.
His mother Stephanie, and him remained close throughout his life and there will an empty spot in her heart until they meet again. She will miss their shopping and shopkicking excursions on Fridays.
Chris was predeceased by his grandfather Douglas Hanna, Sr. of Argyle
Left to cherish his memory include his girlfriend of two years, Renee Anorue. His mother Stephanie Hanna of Glens Falls; his dad Donald “DJ” McKittrick Jr of West Palm Beach Florida; his brother Shane McKittrick of Glens Falls; his grandmother Fay Hanna of Queensbury; his grandmother Alley Catone-Cook and her husband Bill of Queensbury; his grandfather Donald Jerry McKittrick Sr and his wife Helen of West Hebron; his aunts: Gerri McKittrick-Mitchell of Glens Falls; Jamie Marcotte of Fort Edward; DeeDee Breault of Queensbury ; Debbie Wright and Kim Groesbeck of West Hebron. A human being that was given to fly’

I’m really sorry for your loss. I know this is a difficult time for all of us who were close with Chris.
I spent a lot of time when he was early in bettering himself. He did such a great job and was really improving his life. He’s definitely one of the funniest people I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. Him and I had the same sense of humor, which was we could find humor in just about anything, and that made him good company for me. I’ll miss him, and always remember him and our good times.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
