I SOLUTE YOU ROACH RIP
RIP “Roach” You went too soon>
So sorry for your loss, he was certainly a unique gentleman and friend to many.
Many years ago I met “Roach” at a hockey game and as we were talking he asked me my name. As it turned out he knew my mother, Kay Saunders, as they both would see each other when they went out and smoked during the games.
I explained that my mom was with me at the game and he made it a point to stop and visit with her. Although he didn’t live in Glens Falls he said he supported my mothers positions on the City Council, because she always spoke her mind and told the truth.
Last Saturday at the exhibition game for the Phantoms I looked around for him. I know my mother would have liked to see him as well, though she is in a wheelchair and has difficulty speaking.
We will miss him, but remember his friendhip and service.
Your care and concern for our soup kitchen will always be remembered.I tell people that our business cards were a gift to me from you. It was a blessing to have known you and your kind heart…I ran out of cards last week, but saved one to remember you…Our prayers go out to your family…….
