HUDSON FALLS – Barbara Ann Dow, 67, of Juckett Drive, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital, after a long illness.
Born May 19, 1947, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Marie B. (Brouillette) Fox.
Barbara was a graduate of Hudson Falls School. Following graduation, she began her career at Chase Bag in Moreau, working there for over 17 years. In her later years, she was employed at the Office for the Aging in Fort Edward.
Barbara was a member of the Kingsbury Fire Co. Auxiliary. Years ago, she was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church, formerly of Hudson Falls. Barbara loved playing bingo and usually won. She enjoyed reading on her Kindle and during the summer, sitting on her porch with friends watching the wildlife. Barbara loved all animals. She also cherished her seven grandchildren, worshipping the ground they walked on.
Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Martin A. Fox.
Survivors include her two children, Jeremy Dow and his companion, Crystal Briere of Glens Falls, and Jackie Dow of Glens Falls; her sister Sandra Fox of Glens Falls; her seven grandchildren, Kodi and Kristopher Corlew, Cora E. Dow, Jordon Michael Dow, Savannah M. Dow, Hailey M. Dow, Jayden N. Campbell; her special friends, Nancy Coffey, Charlene Plude, and Sally Chase Schenk; her in laws, whom she was very fond of, Margie, Bev, Ginny, Jerry, Doug and Ralph; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.
The Rite of Committal will be in the spring at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.

Sandi, Jackie and Jeremy. Your sister and Mom will be greatly missed. I have memories from babysitting to Barb taking me out for the first time after I got married. All the family cookouts. Cherish the fond memories!
