HUDSON FALLS – Arthur “Jerry” Trackey, 88, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2015, at the Fort Hudson Health Care Facility.
Born April 28, 1927 in Fort Edward, he was the son of the late Arthur Trackey and Ruth (Laney) Trackey Pattee.
Jerry attended Fort Edward High School, where he played football.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Jerry was a firefighter for the city of Glens Falls, retiring in 1985 after 26 years of service.
He was a skilled wood worker and a great cook. After retiring from the fire department, he operated Jerry’s Lunch on Main Street in South Glens Falls.
Besides his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his sister, Bonnie Pattee Hawkins.
Survivors include his significant other of 45 years, Jackie Higgins of Hudson Falls; his step children, Beth Bruno and her husband, Scott of Queensbury and their children Kyle, Matthew and Shelby Bruno; Michael Higgins and his wife Bridgit of South Glens Falls and their children Dillon and Olivia: who he treated as his own. His children; Joanne MacDonald and her husband David of Queensbury, Jim Trackey and his wife Carol of Queensbury, John Trackey of South Glens Falls, and his grandchildren Cheryl, Scott, Courtney, Justin and Melissa and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Walter Pattee of England; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p p.m., on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Veterans Cemetery, in the town of Stillwater.

very sorry for your loss. John, your dad gave me my first exposure to racing when he brought us to Devil’s bowl way back when, we should catch up.
