SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Anthony R. “Tony” Harrington, 52, of South Glens Falls, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, after a long battle with kidney disease.
Born on November 2, 1960, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Dale and Carol (Champaigne) Harrington, Sr. of Hudson Falls
Tony was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 83.
He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his youngest son, Chad Michael Harrington, his brother, Dale Harrington, his sister, Cheryl Harrington, his aunt, Regina “Pork Chop” Walden and many other family members.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Carrie (Parot) Harrington of South Glens Falls; his parents, Dale and Carol Harrington, Sr. of Hudson Falls; his son, Chris Harrington of Fort Edward; brothers and sisters, Glenn Harrington and his wife, Cheryl of Redwood, NY, Kelly Manning and her husband, Jeff of Hudson Falls, Scott Harrington and his wife, Heather of Glens Falls and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night, following the calling hours, with the Rev. Wade Petteys, pastor of the Gateway Church in Corinth, officiating.
Tony’s family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Renal Center at Broad St., c/o the Glens Falls Hospital, 100 Park St., Glens Falls, NY 12801.
Tony’s family would like to thank aa lf the nurses and staff at the Renal Center and Glens Falls Hospital and especially Dr. Mihindu, for the care Tony received during his illness.
