HUDSON FALLS – Alexina Marie Jennings, 42, of Dean Road, went into the arms of the Lord, on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.
Alexina will be remembered by her family and friends for her most-generous heart. Even Strangers in need were witness to her immediate help and support, including financial.
Her family is so proud of that loving nature she had which took great care of her father during those hardship years when he suffered with the disease ALS. Alexina spent many hours with her father in his later years driving him around to visit with his friends, taking him out to eat, traveling up north to visit campgrounds, taking pictures of Americaide and always making sure he had his burnt hot dogs.
In addition to the people in her life Alexina loved all animals and gave generous donations to local nonprofit agencies, and other specific needs following natural disasters and for hay for the horses at Camp Pinnacle. Of course her beloved beagles, Duke and Dutch, were her children. And we can’t forget her cat, Emma. She loved them dearly, and the most-beautiful gift she ever gave her sister, Kelly, was her precious lab mix, Silkey.
Alexina enjoyed her softball, in her younger years, and football in her later years. Some of her favorite times in life were attending NY Giants football games with her mom and dad, in addition to camping in the Adirondacks, holding a nice cold beer, next to an all-night blazing fire.
You could often find Alexina watching a re-run of the television show The Golden Girls which Alexina loved. We only wish that she had lived long enough to enjoy hers. She will be dearly missed. She is now safe in the arms of Jesus where she wants to be. “Eternal rest grant onto then, O Lord…”
She is predeceased by her father Lawrence Joseph Jennings, Jr.
Alexina is survived by her mother, Lona Jennings; her sister, Kelly A. Jennings; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
At Alexina’s request all services will be private.
Instead of any flowers, her family requests memorial donation be sent to the North Country SPCA , PO Box 171, Hudson Falls, NY 12839 or the Pumpkin Fund, 4 Lark Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839, www.thepumpkinfund.com.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

My condolences to the family. I worked with Alexina for years at Continuous Care and her laugh and smile were so contagious, she was an awesome coworker! Prayers for the family at this diffucult time.
To Kelly and Lona,
Although it’s been years…no…decades since we’ve seen one another, please know you are both in my thoughts. I knew Alexina as my best friend’s baby sister, at a time when I was moving away from the friends and community I had always called home. I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
