Michael “Mike” Audette

HUDSON FALLS – Michael “Mike” Audette, 59, of Clark Street, passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2018 at the Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 2,1959 in Troy, he was the son of the late George R. and Janet (Bottum) Audette.

Mike graduated from Queensbury High School and soon after, enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country.

On May 25, 2018 he married Jennifer Whalen at McDermott’s Harley Davidson in Kingsbury with their friends, Elise and Kara, as witnesses.

Mike retired from Kamann Bearing in Glens Falls as a manager.

He loved his Harley 2005 Bagger Custom bike and his BMW car.  Mike also enjoyed downhill skiing, playing pool and being around animals, especially dogs.  Along with his wife, Jennifer, they took many trips together.  Two of their favorite places were Maine and New Hampshire.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Audette.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jennifer Audette of Hudson Falls; his daughters, Emily Audette of Maryland, Sheraton Merchant, Sierra Merchant and Giulianna Catuccio, all of South Glens Falls; his brothers, Daniel Audette and his wife, Kristi of Woodstock, Vermont and Edward “Ned” Audette and his wife, Lisa of Delaware; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and good friends, Jim and June Ure of Hudson Falls, Mike Manney of Saratoga, Sasha Mehilick, Katherine Breult, Juliana Fabian and Maverick Hobus.

Friends may call on Tuesday, September 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

The family has asked that everyone bring a red rose to the calling hours.

Following the calling hours, everyone is welcome to Saluto’s in Hudson Falls.

Burial will be at a later date in Pine View Cemetery, in the town of Queensbury.

The family suggests that memorial donations in Mike’s name be made to the SPCA of Upstate New York, 588 Queensbury Avenue, Queensbury, NY  12804

    Mike will always be remembered for his smile, outgoing personality, and his friendliness. We went to school together and graduated together. Loved seeing him on his motorcycle doing the rides for the benefits. I will greatly miss him as others will too.

    I remember Mike is being the expert skier I always wanted to be. I chased Mike for years at West Mountain ,Gore Mountain all over the Northeast he was a good guy straightforward guy and straight shooter I was sorry to hear mice passing I’m glad he loves his Harley

    This is a shock to find out. I knew Mike in the early 80s when he was the light man for a band called UXB. He was a dear friend and married one of my best friends Beverly Williams.
    Mike was a great person. He will be missed my many.

    Skinny, I just read this today, I had no idea, or I would have been there…God this is unreal. We had so much fun when we were kids in the summer at Capri, Shepards Park, hanging out with everyone, Dotty, Steve, Brooke, Jimmy.My heart is so freaken sad tonight.
