Ashley Elizabeth Coltrain

Coltrain, AshleyHUDSON FALLS – Ashley Elizabeth Coltrain, 18, of North Street, went into the Arms of the Lord and her mother on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.

Born on October 21, 1998, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Daniel T. Coltrain and the late Carolea (Wells) Coltrain.

She was a graduate of Hudson Falls Senior High School and was attending SUNY Adirondack.

Ashley worked at Six Flags Great Escape for the past 2 seasons.  She loved drawing, music, her family and no matter who you were and no matter what you were, you were always special to her. Ashley always had a smile on her face and was strong for everyone else.  She loved animals, especially her two ferrets who were like her babies. Raynebow Shaw was like a sister to her and Raynebow and Lisa Baurle were some of her closes friends

She is predeceased by her mother, Carolea L. Coltrain, and her paternal grandfather, Leon Richards.

Survivors include her father. Daniel T. Coltrain of Hudson Falls; her brother, Daniel R. “Remi” Coltrain of Hudson Falls; her grandparents, Donna D. Richards of Argyle, David and Linda Crandall of Stony Creek and Rick and Pat Jarvis of Hudson Falls; her aunts and uncles, Jeff and Michelle Richards of Argyle, Ondrea  Crandall and her significant other, Ken Filkins of Northville, Kellie (Richards) and James Stewart of Hickory,  NC  and Mark and Jacquie Richards of Fairbanks, AK, John and Erika Coltrain of Corinth, and Scott and Nichole Richards of Glens Falls and Nikki Shaw and Kimberly Kibling, both of Hudson Falls; her close friend and cousin, Cadence Crandall as well as many other close cousins.

Friends may call on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St, Hudson Falls.

A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, after the calling hours at the funeral home, with the Reverend Mark Bailey, pastor of Oneida Community Church, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Ashley’s family suggests memorial donations be made to a fund in her name at NBT Bank, 242 Quaker Rd, Queensbury, NY 12804.

Ashely was one of my closest friends in high school I am currently 1000 miles away in training but my condolences go out to the family and I want to let them know in the hearts of many she will not be forgotten.
