Ronald “Ron” E. Ash

Ash, RonaldGANSEVOORT – Ronald “Ron” E. Ash, 69, of Fawn Road, passed away unexpectedly at his brother’s home on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Born on August 20, 1947, in New Haven, VT, he was the son of the late William H. and Frances (Wescott) Ash, Sr.

Ron was married to Sylvia Ash for 26 years.

He worked as a helping hand on several area farms and as carnival ride operator which allowed him to travel up and down the east coast.

Ron was a kind-hearted man, who helped his family and friends through thick and thin. He had a wonderful sense of humor, always bringing laughter to those around him. Ron loved the sound of his brother’s truck.

In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Ash; his step-mother, Nancy Ash; his children, Todd (Melody) Ash, Angela Jones, Kathy ( Jeff) Landry, and Holly (Juan) Santiago; three step children; six grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; many great grandchildren; his siblings, William Arthur (Marie) Ash, Laura Velma (John) Wagonblast, David Joseph (Linda Condon) Ash, Nancy E.(Harley Flynn) Rowe,, Ida May Gaither, Wanda L. (Chuck) Leonard, Willie Mae (David Rice) Ash, and William H. Ash, Jr.; his two aunts, Carol (Ray) Stevenson and Marion Julius; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many close friends.

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. located at 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, immediately following calling hours at the funeral home, with the Reverend Michael Burkley of the Lake Luzerne Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Donations in Ronald’s name may be made out to a charity of one’s choice.

    its been almost 2 years since you’ve been gone and i still can’t believe your gone. i miss you so much. i know you and grandpa and grandma are rocking the heavens. i love you dad and miss you dearly
