Betty LeBarron

LeBarronCOLONIE and HUDSON FALLS – Betty LeBarron, 80, a longtime resident of Hudson Falls, passed away on Wednesday October 21, 2015, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Irv LeBarron, Jr.

Born December 22, 1934 in Troy, NY she was the daughter of the late William and Irene (Barbeau) Bell.

Betty worked at N.Y. Telephone Company, Riley Brothers Funeral Home and was a Court Clerk for the Town of Kingsbury.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls and recently a communicant of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Albany. While in Hudson Falls, Betty was very active in the Bereavement Ministry at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church.

Betty found great pleasure in spending time with her great grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, going to the library, garage sales and shopping. Most recently she enjoyed her trips to the QVC Studio Park with her daughter and her touring of Nashville and New Orleans with her grandson.

Survivors include her daughter, Toni Smith; her grandchildren, Joseph Smith, Kristine Kelley and her husband Rick and Alicia Smith; her great-grandchildren, Brianna and Ricky Kelley; her sisters, Jane Richmond, Patricia Shapiro, Irma Lettrick; her brother Tom Bell; and her son-in-law Buddy Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. 68 Main St. in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am on Monday at the St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church, on the park in Hudson Falls, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor, officiating.

The Rite of Committal will follow at Southside Cemetery in the Town of Moreau.

In lieu of flowers, Betty’s family has requested that memorial donations be sent to St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church, 11 Wall Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.

    I knew Betty and Sonny way back.I always thought they were a vary close friend.Betty was a person I could always confide in along with her husband Sonny My heartfelt condolences to your family
