HUDSON FALLS – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, Linnette LaBarge, on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She married Donald M. LaBarge on May 29, 1943. They spent 41 loving years together until his passing in 1984.

Linnette worked at Sears in Queensbury for many years, until her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Donalynn Skelton of Hudson Falls, Deborah Havens (Steve) of Hudson Falls with whom she resided, and her son Thomas LaBarge (Karen) of Hudson Falls; her two granddaughters, Sherry Whiting (Scott) of South Glens Falls and Heather Aubrey (Tony Dederick) of Schenectady; her three great-grandchildren, Nicole Bentley (Zach) of Hudson Falls, Ashley Whiting (Kevin McFarland) of Hudson Falls and Brandon Whiting (Lauren) of South Glens Falls; her two great-great grandchildren, Ryan McFarland of Hudson Falls and Mia Whiting of South Glens Falls.

Many thanks to Homeward Bound and Glen Anderson for his services. Our mom enjoyed his visits very much.

At her request, there will be no calling hours and services are private.

Linnette’s family suggests that memorial donations in her memory be made to the charity of one’s choice.

  1. May the Lord take care of this quiet gentle woman who never had a cross word for anyone. May her family know that she is in a much better place and no longer suffers with the pain that she endured for so many years. May she Rest In Peace, she is finally home.

    My deepest condolances to the family. I am a great niece my parents were Robert and Freda La Barge. My mom would take me to see Aunt Lynn and Uncle Don when I came home for visits. I remember as a child each time we went for visits what wonderful kind people both Aunt Lynn and Uncle Don were. Anyone from family may contact me.
